Census Bureau: 67.9% of people in Franklin County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 14,036 citizens living in Franklin County in 2021, 67.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 9,523 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 4,865 were male, constituting 51.1%, and 4,658 were female, making up 48.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Franklin County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 74.7%.
